Business Intelligence and Data Analyst
The Business Intelligence & Data Analyst will support the organization by transforming data
from internal systems, products, and operational processes into clear insights that help teams
understand business performance and trends. The role will focus on building dashboards,
generating reports, analyzing data across products such as payments, lending, mobile banking,
and remittance services, and supporting teams with reliable data that improves decision making
and operational efficiency. The analyst will work closely with product, engineering, finance, and
operations teams to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and used effectively across the
organization.
Key Responsibilities
● Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports that provide visibility into key
fintech performance metrics such as transaction volumes, revenue, system uptime,
product usage, and service reliability.
● Work closely with product, engineering, finance, and operations teams to define key
performance indicators and develop automated dashboards and reports that support
product monitoring, financial tracking, and operational decision making.
● Produce recurring operational and management reports that track key metrics such as
transaction success rates, payment flows, lending portfolio performance, customer
activity, and overall product adoption.
● Analyze transaction data across payment processing, PSP services, lending platforms,
mobile banking applications, and remittance products to identify trends, customer
behavior patterns, and operational issues.
● Monitor portfolio performance including transaction growth, loan performance, credit
activity, customer usage patterns, and revenue trends to support business planning and
decision making.
● Extract and analyze data from internal platforms and databases, including MySQL
databases and cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS, to support reporting, performance
monitoring, and operational insights.
● Identify inconsistencies or gaps in data across systems and work with engineering and
operations teams to improve data accuracy, consistency, and clean data practices.
● Support operational, regulatory, and reconciliation reporting by ensuring transaction data
and financial records are accurate, complete, and aligned with internal reporting
requirements.
● Support teams across the organization in using dashboards and data insights to better
understand transaction performance, customer activity, and operational efficiency across
the fintech platform.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics,
Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, or another analytical field.
● 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles,
preferably within fintech, banking, payments, digital lending, or other high transaction
technology environments.
● Experience working with transactional data and financial systems, including analyzing
payment flows, product usage, or financial performance metrics.
● Demonstrated experience building dashboards, generating reports, and translating
complex datasets into clear insights that support operational and business decision
making.
● Experience working with cross functional teams including product, engineering, finance,
and operations to define reporting requirements and performance metrics.
Technical Skills
● Strong SQL skills with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL.
● Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Metabase,
Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar platforms.
● Experience analyzing large datasets and building dashboards that support operational
monitoring and business insights.
● Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS and the ability to work with data
stored within cloud based infrastructure.
● Experience using analytical tools or scripting languages such as Python or similar tools
for data analysis is an added advantage.
